So we went to Hull, and apart from all kinds of car problems and the usual near death experiences and mass consumption of brioche and other pastries and sweets we arrived well.
Sadly because of all this us Wolves only got to watch the last 15 minutes of the Cubs first outing in a mixed co-ed scrim (with Deathrow Hull) but we were all kinds of proud. They were amazing and we were all a little bit emotional watching from the balcony. It was just a really beautiful moment for us, and showed that all the training was paying off (which is testament to Jonny and McNay’s knowledge and experience). There’s some photos of them in action – HERE [photo credits to Dez Dizzy Le-Tog]
Then came our quick drive to our next venue for us Wolves to get our scrim on. H.A.R.D were very much ready for us and after a quick change and warm up we were split into our teams for the epicness to begin.
Pope was team white while myself, Johno and Scrawny were team black. Team white won overall but I think team DRD officially got the most Apex jumps of the day! We had such an awesome day, we got to meet up with the lovely ladies from Spa Town again and made loads of new Derby friends.
And after a buzzing journey home we then proceeded to celebrate Johno’s birthday – so all in all I think it’s safe to say we had an awesome weekend.
We’d like to say a massive thank you to all the NSO’s, Refs and teams who made this weekend of Derby such a great experience.
