DRD’s Great Big Skate Challenge
This year our skaters have voted to raise money for the Great North Air Ambulance Service for our annual charity skate challenge.
We will be skating collectively the distance from John O’Groats to Lands End which is just over 600 miles (as the crow flies)! Over the next few months, members of our team will be out and about racking up miles on their skates until we reach our target.
The Great North Air Ambulance Service operates three helicopter air ambulances across the North East, North Yorkshire and Cumbria. They are 100% reliant on donations.

Sunday 7st July 2024 – Five Nations Tier 3 North
Durham Roller Derby is hosting the final games of Five Nations Tier 3 Women’s North in a fantastic double header featuring Durham Roller Derby vs Auld Reekie Braw Stars and Dublin Be Grands vs Newcastle Whippin’ Hinnies! It’s all still to play for in Tier 3… who’ll make it to playoffs this year?!
Held at Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre, Beveridge Arcade, DL5 4EH. Advance tickets on sale now – £6 advance tickets, under 12s are free but must be accompanied by an adult.
